How to Create a Pain Management Plan That Works for You!

We are a group of health professionals including Physios, Massage Therapists and Personal Trainers wanting to answer your common questions on pain and dispel any myths surrounding pain and exercise.


Creating a personalized pain management plan is essential for effective relief and recovery. Start by identifying the type and severity of your pain. Is it acute or chronic? (See Post) Is it an ache or a sharp pain? (See Post) Everybody has a different pain sensation therefore understanding your pain and the causes can help in choosing the right strategies for management.


Not only does the pain sensation differ from person to person, but your goals differ greatly too. One person's goal may be to run a half marathon where as another person's goal may be to play with their grandchildren. Both of these pain management plans will look very different.
